Ballet

Ballet is the most highly refined and challenging of all dance forms. It stresses correct alignment, technique development, flexibility, strength and style. Our curriculum, as taught by an experienced faculty, starts developmentally appropriate and introduces students to the structure of class as well as stretching, coordination exercises, musical forms, improvisation and ballet vocabulary. Students follow a structured sequence of training stages designed to increase their technical skills, stamina, and discipline in accordance with their age and physical development. Classes will have spelling and definition tests of ballet terminology.

Tap & Ballet Combo

(Age 3)

Perfect for little movers just starting their dance journey! This fun and engaging combo class introduces 3-year-olds to the basics of tap and ballet. Dancers will explore rhythm and sounds with beginner tap steps, while developing grace, coordination, and creativity through ballet movements. Using music, props, and imaginative activities, this class builds confidence, listening skills, and a love of dance.

Tap & Ballet Combo

(Ages 4-5)

This lively and structured combo class is designed to build foundational skills in both tap and ballet. Dancers will learn basic tap rhythms and footwork, as well as beginner ballet technique, all in a fun, encouraging environment. Through creative movement, across-the-floor exercises, and simple choreography, students will develop musicality, balance, coordination, and confidence.

Ballet 1

(Ages 6-8)

Ballet 1 is the perfect introduction to formal ballet training for dancers ages 6–8. In this structured yet encouraging class, students will learn basic ballet positions, steps, and terminology while developing grace, posture, and body awareness. Focused on building a strong technical foundation, the class also emphasizes musicality, discipline, and a love of movement. Dancers will gain confidence and coordination as they progress through age-appropriate exercises at the barre and center floor.

Ballet 2

(Ages 7-9)

Ballet 2 is designed for dancers ages 7–9 who are ready to build on their foundational ballet skills. This class focuses on refining technique, posture, and alignment while introducing more complex barre and center combinations. Dancers will continue to develop musicality, grace, and strength through structured exercises and choreography. With an emphasis on proper ballet terminology and disciplined practice, Ballet 2 helps young dancers grow in both skill and confidence, preparing them for more advanced training.

Ballet 3

(Ages 9-12)

Ballet 3 is designed for dancers ages 9–12 who have a solid foundation in ballet and are ready for more focused technical training. This class emphasizes proper body alignment, strength, and fluidity through more challenging barre work, center combinations, and across-the-floor exercises. Dancers will continue developing grace, flexibility, and control while refining their musicality and understanding of ballet terminology. Ballet 3 prepares students for pre-pointe or pointe work and more advanced ballet studies, fostering discipline, artistry, and confidence.

Ballet 4

(Ages 10-12)

Ballet 4 is an advanced-level class designed for dedicated dancers ages 10–12 who are serious about refining their ballet technique. This class focuses on strength, precision, and artistry through advanced barre work, center combinations, and across-the-floor progressions. Dancers will work on increased flexibility, control, and musicality while deepening their understanding of classical ballet terminology and movement quality. Pointe work may be introduced or continued at the instructor’s discretion. Ballet 4 is ideal for dancers preparing for pre-professional training, performance opportunities, or pointe advancement.

Ballet 5 & 6

(Ages 13 & Up)

Regular attendance in ballet technique class is required for this class, and will only be offered to those who have the proper strength and dedication needed to perform this difficult dance style. Students must obtain teacher’s permission to enter a Pointe class.

Girls: NO LOOSE HAIR OR JEWELRY. Pink tights and pink ballet slippers are mandatory. Hair must be off the face and in a bun WITH bobby-pins, those with short hair must wear a headband and/or pin hair back off face.

Boys: White t-shirt and ankle-length socks with black tights are required with white or black ballet shoes. Dance belts are also required and shirts must be tucked in. BE NEAT AND NO JEWELRY.
